I’m Mel, a self‑taught photographer with a lifelong love for storytelling through images. My journey began in high school, growing up in a small country town in NSW, where I spent afternoons wandering our property with an old film camera in hand, fascinated by the way light could shape a moment. Years later, after my second son was born, I found myself returning to photography with a renewed sense of purpose, wanting to hold onto the fleeting, everyday moments.

That feeling has stayed with me. I’m still inspired by the way photography can pause time, preserve emotion, and tell a story in a way nothing else can
